    Thank You!

  2. People have been making wine for something like 8,000 years, so it really isn’t so technical.

The technology and science comes into play when you scale it up to industrial volumes, and when you try to guarantee the same level of quality from batch to batch and year to year. So that’s stuff like accurately measuring and predicting rainfall, accurately measuring the sugar content of the grapes, stabilizing the temperature of the fermenting process, and being able to make, store and ship really large volumes of wine so that the flavor is very consistent.

Perhaps you can pick out some more applications of science and technology in the Wikipedia entry.
